Although many new creations of martabak (Indonesian stuffed pancake) are popping up nowadays, this classic martabak still be my favorite. In this posr, i will going to share my favorite traditional martabak in Jakarta. That is Martabak Rembulan Purnama, located in Jl. KH. Moh. Mansyur (Jembatan Lima, West Jakarta), it is situated on the roadside only with a humbly cart.

Unlike others modern martabak vendors which a fusion menu with Green Tea, Red Velvet, Taro, etc. with a wide variety of topping like nutella, ovomaltine, or skippy, Rembulan Purnama only offers the traditional and authentic style of indonesian martabak with original topping that you can choose, there is chocolate, cheese, and peanut. In addition, they also have another toppings, there is sesame, bananas, and raisins. There are two choices for pan size, small and large. For the large one, it consists of 12 pieces

The dough was very soft and flavorful with the generous amount of topping. They are very royal for giving generous chocolate meises, granted cheese, peanut, and condense milk. SThe price was very affordable too. For big size of special complete martabak, it just cost you for IDR 35,000. It’s very affordable compared with the taste and quality, which in another modern martabak vendor, the price can reach up to IDR 50,000 -IDR 100,000 or even more.

 

It’s definitely a hidden gem in Jakarta. Rembulan Purnama offers the traditional, authentic, and original style of indonesian martabak with delicious taste and affordable price. If you’re a martabak lovers, i recommend you to try this one! 😀
