From so many eateries along Pajajaran Street, Bogor, this is our most favorite. A humble place that offers delicious Sop Kambing (mutton soup), Sop Daging Sapi (beef soup), and Satay (chicken and mutton). Sop & Sate Kambing Bang Hasan Kumis is located right on the Pajajaran street, but not too eye-catching. You can look for the yellow signage that is located on the road side.
They are open 24 hours, so this place is a good choice to visit if you are in Bogor and found yourself starving at the midnight. The sop kambing is the usual deal, but since i don’t like mutton, I always order their sop daging (beef soup). You just go to the counter, pick the parts that will become your guilty pleasure, and that’s it. I usually only pick two pieces of beef which will then be sliced again into smaller pieces.
The soup is heaven sent! It’s made with coconut milk and ghee along with the angelic tender beef or mutton parts. The beef and mutton parts are juicy and tender. The soup was savory and rich of spice flavor, add some chili and lime will give you a perfect taste. The perfect combination of coconut milk and ghee which is so delicious to get you hooked. Seriously, it’s extremely good and I always eat the soup to the last drop! LOL
Oh, don’t forget to order their satay to complete your meals. You can choose between mutton and chicken satay or half-half. The satay is served on a hot plate with a puff of smoke. The same tenderness applies here, only in the form of grilled meat on skewers. Dip the skewers in peanut sauce, put some chili, soy sauce, and lime. It tastes sooo damn good! I usually have to order 2 plates of rice to tame the beast inside. LOL!
On their walls, are also displayed photos when Indonesian President, Mr. Joko Widodo visited their place. So you don’t need to doubt the taste of their food, even the Mr. President already tried. 😀
Overall, it’s the best beef soup and chicken satay in Bogor so far. We truly love their soup which combining coconut milk and ghee. Absolutely this is highly recommended and one of our must visit list when in Bogor. So, if you go to Bogor, just go to Sop & Sate Kambing Bang Hasan Kumis. Be sinful and embrace the tenderness
