Time to continue our culinary experience in Bandung. This time, we’re going to talk about one of legendary noodle in Bandung, Bakmi Apin at Jalan Sukajadi.
We went to Bakmi Apin for Sunday brunch, and we can easily spot the location by their signage. The place is quite spacious with sufficient parking capacity. The kitchen is open and located on the left side of the entrance. You can see the crew who prepare the noodles and throw it high into the air (I think up to 1 meter high) before he put the noodle into a bowl. Wow!
One of the things that make Bakmi Apin different from other noodle restaurants is the dried shredded chicken on top of the noodle. The texture of the chicken is just like “abon“. Their signature is Yamien, which available in two options, Asin (salty) and Manis (sweet).
We ordered Yamien Asin to dine in and ordered Yamien Manis to take away. From both of them, we preferred to Yamien Asin instead of Yamien Manis. If you like spicy food, you can try the Hot Mie (IDR 27,000).
We do love the taste of their Yamien, it’s really good. The dried shredded chicken on top of the noodle is really unique, but we still prefer to ordinary chicken chunks. Our most favorite noodle in Bandung still going to Mie Rice Kejaksaan. Even though, you definitely have to try Bakmi Apin if you go to Bandung. Besides noodle, they also have any kinds of pangsit (dumpling), baso (meatball), tahu (tofu), and Indonesian dishes like Nasi Goreng, Sop Buntut, Nasi Timbel, etc. and many kinds of snacks. Overall, everything that we tried was pretty tasty and yummy.
