Food Fighters is a hangout spot and food arcade that filled with freshest street stalls under one roof. Food Fighters located at Melawai Area in Blok M, South Jakarta (near FaveHotel) and it’s actually owned and managed by the same management who manage Fave Hotel and Oey Kopitiam.

Food Fighters is more like a mini version of Pasar Santa because almost all of the tenants are originated from Pasar Santa, but in a better location and air-circulation since they have outdoor seatings. The place is quite spacious and more comfortable to hang and chill compared to Pasar Santa. The location is also easy to reach and spot since it is located inside Melawai Blok M area right below Fave Hotel.

We love how they decorate the place with vintage game arcade mural making it a perfect background for instagram picture at every corner. You’ll see plenty of colorful pixelated game characters painted on the concrete wall, old vintage chairs and tables, there’s just something very photogenic about the design of the venue. Felt very raw but in the same time, good looking and eye catching.

In this post, we are going to share their new menu, which are Indomie Sambal Matah, Meltigori Matcha, and Ice Bomb. Actually, they have 7 menus of Gourmet Indomie. Besides Indomie Sambal Matah, there are also Indomie Kikil Cabe Ijo, Indomie Indomie Creamy Milky, Indomie Miso Ramen, Indomie Salted Yolk, Indomie Pedas Mampus, and Indomie Goreng Special. Indomie Sambal Matah

Sambal matah is one of the most famous of Indonesian chili. Food fighters combining sambal matah with Indomie, it consists of chili chunks, chili oil, and sunny side egg. Personally we prefer Indomie sambal matah in dry noodle or fried noodle instead of soup. It tastes bland and too oily.

Meltigori Matcha

Meltigori consists of shaved ice, mint syrup, choco chips and vanilla ice cream in a glass bowl topped with crispy pancake and lava cake. You can choose the selection of lava cake, there are green tea and chocolate. The waiters will cut the crispy pancake, and then make a hole on lava cake so the green tea lava will melt and drop into the ice bowl. The best part for us is the green tea cake and crispy pancake. Very yummy… 😀

Ice Bomb

This is not a new menu, but this is a most famous and signature dessert from Food Fighters. This eye-catchy one called Ice Bomb. It consists of a tower of bubble gum ice cream and topped with colorful corn flakes. We like the corn flakes instead of ice cream. The bubble gum ice cream will be good if they make it in a softer texture and not too watery.

Overall, Food Fighters is a great place to hang out with a wide selection of the menu from sweet to savory, main course to desserts, snack to a heavy meal. It’s going to be one of the hippest hangout spots in Jakarta. We love how they create many new creations of meals and dessert. The downside is, this place is all smoking area and many people smoke here. If you hate cigarette smoke, we not recommend this place to you.
