Jakarta Halal Food Festival is the first halal food event ever held in Indonesia. After successfully held in 2015, Jakarta Halal Food Festival 2016 was held on 17-18 December 2016 at Blok M Square, South Jakarta.

By held in the outdoor space, Jakarta Halal Food Festival 2016 brings the concept of food festival or food bazaar to provide direct interaction experience to the visitors and the whole society.

Jakarta Halal Food Festival 2016 cooperate with over 20 tenants who serves halal food and targeting more than 3000 visitors in 2 days with no entry fee. In addition to the food festival, they also hold entertainment events such as talk shows and live music. The event began at 10 AM until 11 PM.

There are many foods and snacks offered by the tenant at the Jakarta Halal Food Festival 2016, and most of them are homemade and local products. The food that FOOD IN LOVE has tried is Mie Ayam Baso (chicken noodle with meatball) and Es Cendol (Indonesian traditional dessert). Both of them was tasty and delicious!

We personally think that Jakarta Halal Food Festival 2016 is a good event and have a positive impact on both the culinary entrepreneurs as well as to society of Jakarta and Indonesia in general, especially regarding about halal foods in Indonesia. We hope that this event can be held again in the following years.
