At the end of January 2017, Mister Donut Indonesia has opened a new outlet in PIK Avenue Mall, Jakarta. Mister Donut is a fast food franchise headquartered in Japan, where it has more than 1,300 stores and known as the number one donut in Japan.
The new flagship store of Mister Donut is located at Dotonbori Foodtown, oh the 2nd floor of PIK Avenue Mall, North Jakarta. Mister Donut is specialized doughnuts and coffee, with their signature MochiDo (Mochi Doughnut), Old Fashion, and French Culler.
Mochido
This is our most favorite! As the signature of Mister Donut, Mochido has a very unique shape which consists of several spheres that form a ring. The sides of the doughnut are cleaved to put the cream filling and then sprinkled with toppings. Mochido has a chewy, fluffy, and soft texture that you will hardly find anywhere else.
Old Fashion
Old Fashion also has a unique shape with chapped surface and half of these doughnuts is coated with topping. It has a crunchy texture and turns out so good with the toppings.
French Cullar
The shape od French Cullar is resembled a flower and cleaved on its side to put the cream filling into it. The half of French Cullar is sprinkled with powder sugar and the other half coated with topping.
Doughnut Cake
Looks like an ordinary doughnut, the Doughnut Cake has covered by topping all over its surface. The one we’ve tried is Red Velvet Cake with the tempting red color and topped with cream and peanut. It tastes creamy and not too sweet with the soft texture.
Ring Donut
This is the typical and classic style of doughnut that you can find at any doughnut stores. But still, it has a softer texture than the others.
Pricing
Mister Donut has a very reasonable price for their doughnuts. WConsidering the taste, quality, and the variants of the doughnuts, it’s a great value for money! It only cost you IDR 8,500 for each. The price will get cheaper if you buy more. For 1/2 dozen of doughnuts, it only cost you IDR 45,000 while 1 dozen for IDR 75,000 and 2 dozen for IDR 145,000.
Cafe Au Lait
Mister Donut serves many kind of coffee, included Japanese Drip Coffee and Cafe Au Lait. It’s a strong dripped coffee with milk. For a coffee person, it was good for me. The coffee is strong enough, slightly creamy, and not too acidic.
Overall, Mister Donuts offers a high quality of doughnuts with a unique shape, taste, and variants with a very reasonable price. The most recommended are Mochido and Frech Cullar with their unique texture and the generous amount of topping and filling. Also, their coffee is not bad at all. We’ll come back for sure to try the other variants.
