[KOREA] SOFTREE ICE CREAM – Itaewon, Seoul

In Korea, there was a huge surge of popularity over soft serve ice cream some while ago, especially those served with real honeycomb. The popularity of the ice cream started around 2013 and now there are many companies and individual vendors offering soft serve vanilla ice cream with real honeycomb, but the original brand that started the trend is “Softree”.

When walking along the streets of Itaewon, we stumbled upon Softree, a cozy cafe that sells the popular soft-serve ice cream. The Softree brand offers real honeycomb with their soft serve ice cream; in addition, both their honey and milk used to make their ice cream are organic!

Wow Honey Chips

As the signature of Softree, it’s an organic milk soft ice cream with healthy honey chips (honeycomb). And yes, the ice cream has an extremely soft texture! Honey and its honeycomb make the ice cream taste that much better. The ice cream itself taste quite milky since it’s milk ice cream but it just tastes perfect for us!

Overall, we’re so glad that we got a chance to try this soft serve ice cream in our #FoodInLoveKOREA trip. They also have numerous other flavors and toppings, and hopefully, someday we can come back to try another one.
