DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jakarta – Diponegoro is a 5-star hotel located in Cikini area, Central Jakarta. Situated at Jalan Pegangsaan Timur and literally near Cikini train station, the car entrance was quite small from the road. But after you get into the hotel, you’ll be surprised. It is spacious, homey, and comfortably-inviting.

There are 5 dining spots in DoubleTree by Hilton and one of them is OPEN restaurant, an all-day dining buffet restaurant located right next to their fabulous and beautiful lagoon pool. You can enjoy views of the sparkling outdoor lagoon pool in a light and airy atmosphere or choose to eat al fresco on the outdoor deck. First things first, let’s take a tour around the entire ground!

OPEN restaurant has an ‘open’ concept when it comes to interior and also the kitchen with live cooking stations. You can clearly have a very nice view of hotel pool area while dining there. Especially at dusk when the lights are on, it such a lovely and romantic vibes.

Dinner Buffet at OPEN restaurant priced at IDR 328,000++ per person. There are three main sections inside the buffet: Local Indonesian, Asian, and Western. In addition, there is also salad, fresh seafood, and dessert area.

Salad & Seafood

For starter, there are many kinds of salad ranging from rujak tahu sumedang, chick pineapple with cashew nut, pear & beetroot salsa, etc. As for the seafood, there are fresh salmon, oyster, squid, etc.

Indonesian Section

There are plentiful of Indonesian dishes available here such as Nasi Kuning with condiments, Kambing Guling, Grilled Chicken, etc. All of them are definitely not bad at all and pretty delicious.

Asian Section

This is our most favorite section. There is a wide variety of Asian cuisine, ranging from Sushi, Dim Sum, Noodles, Roasted Duck, Roasted Chicken, Nasi Kebuli, etc. Our most favorite were Roasted Chicken and Nasi Kebuli. It’s simply delicious and flavorful.

Western Section

Freshly baked pizza, bread, pasta, mixed grill, etc are available in this section. The highlight in the Western section id definitely the juicy grilled beef with European style sauce. There are also chicken and seafood that you can choose and grilled to order.

Desserts

As for the dessert, all of the cakes at DoubleTree are fresh, moist and tasty. Our most favorite are Red Velvet and Green Tea Opera. There are also another sweet treats like fresh fruits, es campur, ice cream, etc. Their ice cream has 4 flavors: vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, and mango. All of them were simply delicious.

During the month of Ramadan, OPEN restaurant also provides many Indonesian local snacks stall at the outdoor area. We also enjoy a fresh Durian and any other snack made from Durian.

Overall, dining at OPEN restaurant is such a great experience for us. Scrumptious food with a wide variety of international cuisines, great ambiance with the uber comfy place, and accompanied by magnificent outdoor view were just totally perfect!
