Thailand is undoubtedly a paradise for seafood lovers. Yes, Thailand has a lot of amazing seafood dishes to offer. You can find unlimited great seafood in any fine restaurant or roadside eateries. One of the best seafood restaurants that we’ve tried is Ko Dang Talay Seafood Restaurant at Asiatique The Riverfront, Bangkok.

Ko Dang Talay Seafood Restaurant situated in warehouse #7 on the riverside. The atmosphere was nice and romantic at evening time as the restaurant’s outdoor seating was decorated with light bulbs. It was a fabulous night of Thai modern contemporary dinner. Really love the food scene in the Waterfront District, where you have many restaurant selections for dinner at the riverfront and enjoying the breeze with a beautiful view of Chao Phraya river.

The atmosphere was really nice as the restaurant was flushed with light brown modern wood paneling. The place is also spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. This is a good place for you to eat, after a round of exhausted night bazaar shopping with heat and sweat.

Deep Fried White Sea Bass Glazed With Caramelized Fish Sauce

The deep fried was perfectly crisp crunchy with soft and tender meat inside. The accompanied fish sauce mix added a bold flavor and taste to the crispy sea bass. These fresh fish are fried at the proper temperature and topped with their secret fish sauce and served with appetizing spicy mango salad. Like it!

Tom Yum Talay

As the foreigner, maybe we’re not familiar with the white clear tom yam compared to a red one. Our obsession was due to the freshness of the herbs used in these soup as something paste is used in red tom yam. Here at Ko Dong Talay, their Tom Yam soup is executed well and turn out so good. The seafood soaked in the soup was very fresh and we truly enjoyed both the seafood and the soup.

Prawn Fried with Mung Bean Noodle

Here is an exciting dish and came with such a delight, lusciously delicious. The Prawn Fried with Mung Bean Noodle was definitely one of the highlight dishes of our dinner. The mung bean was done tastily as it soaked up most of the gravy while leaving a fragrant of aroma and taste. The prawns were very fresh as the biting texture was refreshing crisp and crunchy. This one is our most favorite dish!

Stir Fried Mud Crab With Yellow Curry Powder

The Curry Crab found its way to the table and it was had to resist of not having a few spooning over rice. The spicy mild egg sauce work like a demon as it was so deliciously tasty and the flavor were truly spot on. The crab was very fresh too and it’s amazingly good! Sea crabs stir-fried with curry powder leave an intense taste and delicious smell, with original Thai flavor derived from locals living by the river. For those who do not like to crack open crabs, they offer flavorful cracked crab legs stir-fried with curry powder

Deep Fried Squid

The crisp deep fried squid was crispy and chewy with such a terrific satisfaction. The battered was done thin and crispy. Don’t forget to dip it into the Thai chili sauce for more comforting taste. It was addictive indeed and had to resist of not wanting more.

Stir Fried Morning Glory

A plate of vegetable is a good idea to completing our seafood feast and we opted for stir-fried morning glory. We really like the crisp texture of the morning glory and stir-fried at the right level for our taste. The brown sauce was tasty and flavourful, well paired with the morning glory.

Shrimp Fried Rice

If you’re looking for a heavier meal, this fried rice is worth to try. It’s pretty nice with the right balancing of salty and savory. Actually, steamed rice is more suit to the other seafood dishes rather than fried rice since it’s too salty for us.

Overall. we had a great dining experience at Ko Dang Talay. This is a good local restaurant with fresh and natural ingredients, emphasizing the taste of Thai food. The place was also very nice, especially their outdoor seating that offers splendid panoramic views of both sides of the Chao Phraya River of Bangkok. while their seafood was fresh and tastes good. Even though located in a tourist spot, it is not the place that sucks the tourist spending budget, but an honest seafood restaurant that really aims at cooking good food.
