Have you ever eat poke? Poke is a raw fish salad served as an appetizer in Hawaiian cuisine, and sometimes as a main course. If not, we’re gonna to share a recommended to place to enjoy original poke bowl in Jakarta!
It is Pokinometry who have taken Poke and made it customizable. It combined with a large variety of toppings and sauces which can satisfy almost anyone’s palette. They also serve cubes of sashimi grade fish that are tossed with delicious soy and sesame seeds and various toppings.
Last week, we visited Pokinometry in Gandaria City Mall, South Jakarta which located on 2nd floor. The store itself is not too spacious and it’s pretty nice with a Hawaiian twist interior design and cheerful ambiance.
After place your order, the staff will prepare your meal immediately, and your meal will be ready within 5 minutes. Fast enough, right? You also allowed choosing any sauce to be paired with your meal, such as mayo, spicy mayo, wasabi, and chili flakes. It’s a good point we think since we can pick the sauce that suits our taste.
Aloha Hawaii
As one of Pokinometry’s signatures, Aloha Hawaii is a poke salmon (or you can mix it with tuna) served with mix salad, various toppings, and sauce of your choice. The toppings consist of edamame, corn, carrot, wakame, creamy avocado, pineapple chunks, and baby tomato. All ingredients were really fresh and it tastes simply good!
Hawaiian Poke in a Pineapple
Not much different from ordinary poke bowl, this one is served in a pineapple! The one we had is a mix of salmon and tuna, served with creamy avocado, wakame, and red, black, & green tobiko over rice. Like their poke bowl, there are no complaints about the ingredients and flavor. It’s highly recommended if you’re looking for a heavier meal since it served with rice. (PS: This menu is a limited time offer, please ask the staff when you order)
Mentai Cool
Besides the poke bowl, Pokinometry also has “Not so Poke” series and one of them is Mentai Cool. It’s a grilled salmon bowl, with mozzarella cheese and mentai sauce. Surprisingly, this one tastes really good and beyond our expectation. Feel that fresh salmon, mozzarella, and mentai sauce melts in your mouth and it’s such a great taste like you’re eating sushi!
Strawberry Lemonade
As for drinks, Pokinometry offers wide varieties of tea, coffee, lemonade, fresh juices, and mocktail. We opted for their Strawberry Lemonade. It’s truly refreshing and not overly sweet.
Overall, we’re glad to find tasty and enjoyable superfoods at Pokinometry. They offer original poke bowl and made it customizable, with all fresh (or really fresh!) ingredients and many choices of sauce and add ons that will suitable for all people. Will we come back in the future? Definitely yes!
