If you have been following the Michelin Guide Singapore, one of the most striking names besides Hills Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle on the inaugural 2016 list is Liao Fan Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle. This humble hawker stall at Chinatown Complex literally received stardom when it was awarded one Michelin star in the Singapore Michelin Guide 2016 and become the world’s cheapest Michelin meal.

Fried chicken is undoubtedly one of the most common food that you can find in Seoul. There are a lot of fried chicken chain with their various specialties. It’s also very hard to find a chicken that clearly outshines the rest because the industry there is so well developed. Most of them offer Chimaek (Fried Chicken and Beer), but we found Chicken & Curry Goon (치킨앤 카레군) in Hongdae area that offers a different style of Korean Fried Chicken.

[KOREA] ME? STEAK! STEAK & BEER IN A CUP – Hongdae, Seoul
In the super rapidly changing Korea, we get to see new trends and new items every day, including their street food. During our #FoodInLoveKOREA trip, one of our best findings is Steak & Beer in a cup from “Me? Steak!” in Hongdae area. These “Street Steakhouses” that sell properly grilled steak in a cup is the recently rising dining trend in Korea, just like soft serve milk ice cream not long ago.

[KOREA] BUKCHON SON MANDU 북촌손만두 – Seoul
Bukchon, the historic neighborhood between Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung palaces in the heart of Seoul, is the home of Bukchon Son Mandu 북촌손만두, which translates as Bukchon handmade dumplings. Even though this is a Seoul chain restaurant, the namesake location is here.

There is no shortage of places in Seoul to eat Korean Fried Chicken. If you are looking for a place that is popular with locals, you can go to Hanchu in Gangnam area. Hanchu is not a franchise and so there’s only one place in Seoul to eat their chicken. They are also ranked one of the best by the locals and winning The World’s Tastiest Fried Chicken by Chowtzer Award.

SOP KAKI & SATE KAMBING BANG HASAN KUMIS – Pajajaran, Bogor
From so many eateries along Pajajaran Street, Bogor, this is our most favorite. A humble place that offers delicious Sop Kambing (mutton soup), Sop Daging Sapi (beef soup), and Satay (chicken and mutton). Sop & Sate Kambing Bang Hasan Kumis is located right on the Pajajaran street, but not too eye-catching. You can look for the yellow signage that is located on the road side.

Almost all over area in Jakarta, from downtown to suburbs, we can find lots of exciting new coffee shop to explore. Last weekend, we visited recently opened coffee shop, Ottoman’s Coffee Brewers in Pluit, North Jakarta. Located strategically in Pluit area, across Bakpau A1 and Bank Danamon, Ottoman’s Coffee Brewer is the strong contender for another Coffee Shop in North Jakarta area.
