Korean dessert craze started happening in Indonesia the last few years. It can be largely attributed to Sulbing (설빙) Korean Dessert Cafe, a famous Korean dessert cafe which originated in Busan, South Korea. If you head to downtown Seoul, it’s almost impossible to miss a Sulbing outlet, since they expanded to an enormous 490 franchise outlets in only one year. They claim to be “The Original Dessert Café Enterprise”, and most Bingsu cafes and items you see now, are in fact copied from / inspired by them.
If you are planning to visit Seoul in November, make sure you don’t miss the Seoul Lantern Festival which held annually in the month of November at Cheonggyecheon Stream or Han River. In our #FoodInLoveKOREA autumn trip, we had visited the Seoul Lantern Festival 2016, which takes place along Cheonggyecheon Stream from 4th Nov through 20th Nov 2016.with the theme of “Lightened Hangang River where History Flows”.
