Last weekend, FOOD IN LOVE visited Porto Bistreau at Central Park Mall after a couple of months since their grand opening in March 2017. Porto Bistreau is a brand of restaurant that managed by Altima Mandiri Group, the same group that manages Nanny’s Pavillion, Torigen, Sushi Tora, Wild Grass, etc.
Porto Bistreau located on Ground Floor, inside SOGO at the place that previously occupied by The Nanny’s. Are you remember that there used to be 2 Nanny’s in Central Park? Well, one of them is replaced with Porto Bistreau, since they are still in the same group.
The interior design is very lux, classic yet pretty at the same time. With the western modern concept, dark color couch, gray plain floor and art painting on the wall make this restaurant looks elegant and makes you lovely to just sit and enjoy the ambiance. Either indoor or outdoor, both dining area has a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere that makes everyone want to stay longer in the restaurant.
Porto Bistreau served modern European and French style cuisine ranging from salad, soup, pasta, steak, seafood, and desserts. There is also a complimentary cheese stick while waiting for your orders.
Tea Pot (by Ronnefeldt)
Porto Bistreau served many variants of premium and high-quality tea by Ronnefeldt. We opted for Camomile Tea and it served in a classic yet beautiful teapot. It comes with two cups and you also can ask for the refill of hot water.
Truffle Fries
For the appetizer, we had Truffle Fries, the golden brown homemade french fries served with imported truffle oil. The french fries has a soft texture and well seasoned while the truffle oil was tasty with a fragrant aroma.
Chicken Pesto Spaghetti
It’s actually al dente spaghetti that perfectly blend with homemade pesto sauce, grilled chicken, and Italian seasoning. We had no issue with the spaghetti, it just perfectly combined with the pesto sauce while the grilled chicken was juicy and not over seasoned.
Australian Hamburg Melting Cheese
Grilled Australian beef patty, stuffed with melting cheddar, mozzarella cheese, topped with specialPorto sauce, sunny-side-up egg, served with vegetables and homemade potato wedges. We have to admit that every single item was perfect! The Hamburg beef patty was extremely juicy and perfectly paired with melted cheddar and mozzarella cheese. The vegetables were really fresh while the potato wedges were soft and tasty. Also look at the runny egg yolk, OMG it just irresistible! Four thumbs up for this one!
Overall, Porto Bistreau served an excellent and premium European and Frech style cuisine. We really love both the food and the place. Great food, nice ambiance, and nothing were disappointing. The service was also excellent, the waiters were friendly with a good product knowledge. Another good point is, what you see on the menu is what you get on the table. Really appreciate that they concern at every single detail like this. Although the price was a little bit pricey, it’s totally worth it with what you get. Porto Bistreau will be one of our favorite restaurant at Central Park and we’ll come back for sure!
