Fried chicken is undoubtedly one of the most common food that you can find in Seoul. There are a lot of fried chicken chain with their various specialties. It’s also very hard to find a chicken that clearly outshines the rest because the industry there is so well developed. Most of them offer Chimaek (Fried Chicken and Beer), but we found Chicken & Curry Goon (치킨앤 카레군) in Hongdae area that offers a different style of Korean Fried Chicken.

There is no shortage of places in Seoul to eat Korean Fried Chicken.  If you are looking for a place that is popular with locals, you can go to Hanchu in Gangnam area. Hanchu is not a franchise and so there’s only one place in Seoul to eat their chicken. They are also ranked one of the best by the locals and winning The World’s Tastiest Fried Chicken by Chowtzer Award.

KYOCHON – Pacific Place Mall

Kyochon is known as one of the best Korean Fried Chicken in South Korea. Korean Fried Chicken has become a food phenomenal of sorts in many parts of Asia, with many Chimaek shops flourishing. It seems like Kyochon is chosen as the Best Chicken Restaurant by South Koreans for 15 consecutive years. Being endorsed by a Korean celebrity like Lee Min Ho helped propel its popularity. In Indonesia, Kyochon now has many outlets and one of them was in Pacific Place Mall, South Jakarta.
