Located in the restaurant and cafe flooded Jl. Tanjung Duren Raya, Bakso Jawir can be found easily because of its very clear signage. The place is simple but quite spacious with adequate parking capacity for cars and motorcycles. The drawback is, the place is quite hot because it does not have air conditioner.

Bakso Jawir offers freshly-made meatballs with natural ingredients. There are also some additional compliment such as vermicelli, noodles, etc. We tried their Bakso Spesial Jumbo Campur, as recommended by the waiters with the additional steamed rice.

Bakso Spesial Jumbo Campur consists of 1 Super Jumbo Meatball with egg, 1 Jumbo Meatball with minced beef, 2 beef meatballs, served with  noodle, vermicelli, and mustard green. The texture of meatballs was really chewy and smooth. And the best part is savory meatballs soup, it’s rich of beefy flavorful broth and you also can refill the meatballs soup for free as much as you want 😀

We think that the original version is the all time favorite. The humble back to basic meatballs was really good. First, the texture was real smooth but twisted with the tendon chewy texture. Second, it was real beefy, and we loved it! Pour some chili, and add a drop (or two) vinegar, then enjoy your delightful dish! 😀

For dessert, we ordered their Es Campur. A shaved ice with avocado, tapai, grass jelly, syrup, and condensed milk. The es campur is truly refreshing with a sweet taste, it’s  a right choice to end your meal.

Overall, we have definitely love their meatballs and the savory meatballs soup. A freshly-made classic meatballs was really good, we love both the texture and the taste. Besides their signature meatballs, Bakso Jawir also offers a large variety of indonesian food and snack, such as Chicken Noodle, Fried Rice, Fried Noodle, Capcay, Toast, Banana Fritters, etc. We’ll come back for sure! 😉
