[HONG KONG] SKY100 OBSERVATION DECK – Travel Guide

Every time I travel abroad, I would always make time to visit landmarks or observation deck of the tallest building there. In this post, I would going to share about Sky100 Observation Deck in Hong Kong. Sky100 (Chinese: 天際100) is a 360-degree indoor observation deck on the 100th floor of the International Commerce Centre (ICC), in West Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Sky100 Hong Kong Observation Deck at the ICC is conveniently located in the heart of Hong Kong, with easy access via an extensive transportation network. You can easily getting there by MTR, drop at Kowloon Station and take the exit C to Elements Shopping Mall at ICC, a targeted at the upper middle class shopping mall which has several luxury and branded stores. Go to Metal Zone at 2nd floor, and then simply look for the signs along the way to access a direct walkway leading into Sky100 Ticketing Office. It’s located two floors below the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong Hotel in the same building

The ticketing office lobby has a futuristic design which is dominated by the glass and metal, white  color, with ultra violet light. Really love the interior design,  the impression is modern and classy by using high technology instruments. All information is shown very clear and detail n English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

After buying the tickets, which cost HK$ 168 for adult, we went straight to the elevator to go up to the observation deck that located on the 100th floor. And this is one of the best features of Sky100, since they use exceptional swift double-deck high-speed elevators, which reach the 100th floor in just 60 seconds!  When in the elevator, there is a screen that displays a countdown for 60 seconds, and when countdown finished, you already being on the 100th floor. Incredible!

When arriving on the 100th floor, you are greeted by a lobby with a hallway leading to the stunning view. Along the floor of the hallway, there is a glass floor that in which there are miniature or scale model of Hong Kong city.

And now is the time to enjoy the best moments in Sky100 Observation Deck, enjoy and experience magnificent 360-degree views of Hong Kong! At 393 m above sea level, all the sights that you will see it is very beautiful and amazing. You also can explore the sights freely to all cardinal directions.

The most memorable and best sights for me is  the stunning, spectacular, and breathtaking view of the Victoria Harbour.  I just can’t stop to press my shutter… ♥. It’s definitely a perfect spot to take a picture. I also being here to make a timelapse of sunset. There is a screen that shows the time of sunset everyday. Make sure you don’t miss this sunset moment.

I really blown away with aerial view of Hong Kong. Just looking down, and you’ll saw gazillions of buildings soaring high into the skies. Truly fall in love with the stacks and layers of Lego-like buildings set against a picturesque river and mountain backdrop.

Sky100 also equipped with advanced Telescope provides “sunny day setting” and pre-recorded views from bright days, and on-screen indicators point to landmarks. Other settings include night views and fireworks. Interactive touch screens dot the deck, offering facts, tips, and an itinerary planner.

There is also a Souvenir Gift Shop that offer a variety of exclusive merchandise for visitors to choose from. These souvenirs are the perfect complement to your one-of-a-kind Sky100 experience. As I mentioned above, besides always visit the landmark or the tallest building in the country I visited, I also collects miniature of the building. And now I will add this one to my collection.. 😀

On 101st floor, there is a café serving local snacks and refreshments for the visitors while enjoying the beautiful and breathtaking view of Hong Kong.

There is a section on the wall that tells visitors about the local culture and traditions of the people in Hong Kong in every season (Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter). There is also displayed a chart showing that ICC is the number 7th tallest commercial building in yhe world.

Overall, Sky100 is an indoor observation deck offering 360-degree views on Hong Kong. The view is really stunning and magnificent. It’s the must-visit for tourist in Hongkong to enjoy and experience the beautiful city of Hong Kong that you’ll not get in any other tourist attractions. It’s definitely a big loss if you doesn’t come here when you visiting Hong Kong.
