[LIFESTYLE] NEO SOHO MALL – JAKARTA

Congratulations Neo Soho for the soft opening last week! Neo Soho is a lavish retail centre that encompasses urban entertainment with the high-class shopping experience. It was a quality time for us as we went to the opening of the mall and spent some time in both Neo Soho and Central Park Mall (as they have the connecting sky bridge).

Neo Soho is a part of SOHO @ Podomoro City, that consist of SOHO (Small Office Home Office) concept in total of 40 stories high, which standing over Neo Soho, an extension mall from Central Park Mall, and next to Soho Capital, A Premium Grade A Office Tower that built along as a part of the project. Podomoro City itself is a Superblock, which consists of the APL Office Tower, Garden Shopping Arcade, Pullman Hotel, Apartments and Central Park Mall.

Neo Soho is an extension mall from Central Park Mall, but the size and concept that differentiate them. Central Park has a larger area with Tribeca Park, and Neo Soho is smaller, a little more urban-segmented, youthful but fit families as well. Overall, the design of the mall is simple without being pretentious.

Though the area is small, Neo Soho consists of 8 storey from LG to 4M Floor. From extravagant fashion to legendary local and international delicacies, all served in this lavish shopping haven. Experience an elevated degree of retail therapy, in a mall with a class of its own. Their anchor tenant is Central Department Store, which located in front of the main lobby. As for the tenants, there are more touch of local brands and establish fashion spaces like District One, Moejoe Man, and Our Daily Dose, where you can shop for various fashion items like clothing, accessories, eyewear, etc.

Since they’re still on their soft opening days, construction is still happening and little details are being touched up, it looks like they’re 30 more percent from being finished and all tenants open.

As a foodie, the things that we concerned about Neo Soho is their Food & Beverages Tenant. List of F&B tenants that’s now opening (as this post is written): Gyu-Kaku, Hejo-Hejo, Steak Hotel by Holycow!, Imperial Lamian, Kkuldak, Marugame Udon, The Kitchen by Pizza Hut, Provence Bakery, Rejuve, Rotiboy, Shaburi, and Sanukiseimen Mugimaru. More F&B tenants will be opening soon, such as Bornga, Chef Tony’s, Coco Ichibanya, Go! Curry, Pablo Cheesecake, Pappajack, and Wendy’s.

If Central Park has Urban Kitchen as their food court, Neo Soho has Open Kitchen, which is a nicely designed food court (almost cafe like) located on the fourth floor where you can find yet again, local establishments. It literally feels like you’re in a food court / bazaar with various stuff to choose from light bites, main courses, to desserts.

Neo Soho will be the first shopping mall that has a giant aquarium. There is Jakarta Aquarium will open on LM & LG Floor that will exhibit a vast collection of sea and tropical creatures for entertainment and education. It’s the largest shopping mall indoor aquarium and automatically becomes the first and largest one to date (rumor has it that the construction will finish in December 2016). Can’t wait for it!

Eco Skywalk

Neo Soho was stunningly designed with style and sophistication to stand out among Jakarta’s skyscrapers. Neo Soho is connected directly to the near by Central Park through a beautiful architectural work of art, The SOHO Eco-Skywalk. This 250m interlinked bridge will allow visitors to walk through as they enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding Podomoro City skyline. It looks like rainbow dragon’s body and we really love the design! The bridge resembles the shape of ribcage which illuminates at night.

Access from Central Park Mall

From Central Park Mall, you can go to Neo Soho through Eco Skywalk from Upper Ground, between H&M and Old Navy or follow the red Neo Soho labelled on the floor. If you are in LG, you can go to East Tunnel, go through Llaollao and Sukiya Gyudon, and then you will arrive at Neo Soho shortly by following the direction.

Access to Central Park Mall

If you’re in Neo Soho and wanna go to Central Park Mall, you can go through the same way as I mentioned above. Eco Skywalk located on 1st floor of Neo Soho, and you’ll arrive at Central Park Mall on UG Floor. You also can go via the tunnel on LG Floor of Neo Soho, go through Imperial Lamian, Rotiboy, and Gyu-Kaku and then you’ll arrive on East Tunnel of Central Park Mall.

Overall, we love the design of the mall especially their iconic Eco Skywalk, and we are waiting for their F&B tenants that will be opening soon. Looking forward to what they have in store after everything else is ready and open.
