Congratulations for Grand Opening of Cupbop Indonesia at Gandaria City shopping mall in South Jakarta! Cupbop offers a new Korean BBQ style in a cup and this their 2nd outlet in Indonesia. Their first outlet was located in Living World Alam Sutra.
Cup Bop, which means rice and bowl in Korean, is a U.S. based Korean rice bowl specialists who recently stepped into the Indonesian market. It’s a refreshing yet one of a kind concept of Korean BBQ in a cup originated from the USA and founded by three Koreans who live and studied in the United States.
Cupbop has six best-selling menus. Every bowl comes with rice, lettuce, and noodles. There is B-Bop (Korean BBQ Beef), Toc Toc Bop (Korean Soy Fried Chicken), Chi Chi Bop (Korean Chili Fried Chicken), Kko Kko Bop (Korean BBQ Chicken), Doochi Bop (Tofu & Kimchi Stir Fry), Noodle Bop (Korean Style Noodle).
Cupbop emphasizes on selling simple yet delicious Korean food such as Kimchi, Korean BBQ Beef, Korean Fried Chicken (soy and spicy), Japchae, Mandu (Korean style gyoza) with various toppings that you can choose and the level of spiciness that you can adjust (from level 1-10). The numbers you’re seeing represents the level of spiciness on each bowl with #1 being the mildest and #10 the spiciest!
B-Bop – Level 1 (Mild & Sweet)
Cupbop’s chef recommended, consist of BBQ Beef, lettuce, and noodles.
Toc Toc Bop – Level 7 (Extra Spicy)
From all of their chicken selection, I think this one is the best. Koreana soy fried chicken with lettuce and noodles.
Chi Chi Bop – Level 5 (Medium)
If you love spicy, this one will be a good choice. Korean chili fired chicken with lettuce and noodles.
Kko Kko Bop – Level 3 (Junior Spicy)
Another chicken selection if you don’t want fried chicken. Kko Kko Bop consist of Korean BBQ chicken, lettuce, and noodles.
Doochi Bop – Level 8 (Hot)
If you’re a veggie, this Doochi Bop will be a good chooice for you. It’s consist of tofu and kimchi stir fry with lettuce and noodles.
Noodle Bop – Level 10 (Fire in The Hole!)
Consist of Korean style noodle and vegetable, Noodle Bop become another option for veggie.
Combo Set – Mix 2 of Anything You Like!
If you love more options on your bowl, they also have the combo set which allows you to choose and mix two different toppings on a single serving for IDR 45,455++. I choose the combination of B-Bop and Toc Toc Bop (Korean BBQ Beef and Korean Soy Fried Chicken) with spicy level 8. I can say that is their best combination. Both the beef and chicken tastes very good. Their main sauces are the Bulgogi sauce, Lime Mayonnaise, and Spicy Mayonaisse. Lime mayonnaise and Bulgogi sauce will be drizzled for all level, for level 2-7 they adjust the spicy mayo sauce, while level 8 and above they will put more hot sauce to increase the spiciness! But since I love spicy, level 8 still tasted no too spicy for me.
You need to stir it all before eating. Stir all of the toppings, sauce, noodles, and rice for a well-combined taste.
Overall, Cupbop offers a new and refreshing concept of Korean BBQ in a cup. It’s a good place to dine whenever you are craving for some enjoyable Korean food at a relatively affordable price and at fast service. We really love their Combo Set, which allows us to enjoy and mix any two toppings that we like. Another good point, all orders are made to order to keep the freshness.
