The fabulous drink that we’re waiting from Starbucks Indonesia: Teavana Matcha Espresso or Espresso Matcha Fusion is now available in Indonesia! This new handcrafted beverage caught our attention since we’re a big fan of matcha and espresso.

Espresso Matcha Fusion recently available in Jakarta since October 18th, 2016, and will be released officially on the November 1st, 2016. So, it won’t be displayed on the menu until then, but  you can definitely order this drink and ask from the barista.

Accordance to its name, Espresso Matcha Fusion consists of Matcha, Milk, and Espresso. This can be seen from the beautiful three layers of color gradations: Green, White, and Brown.

Matcha powder layered with milk and Starbucks signature Espresso Roast creates a beautiful layered beverage and is an inventive combination of coffee and tea, to be enjoyed hot or iced.

Honestly, it’s a good innovation from Starbucks which combining matcha and espresso, but somehow we not really think that this one will become our favorite. Compared to Green Tea Latte, it’s has a lighter flavor of tea while Green Tea Latte has a thick flavor of milk. For the espresso itself, we still prefer to Asian Dolce Latte which has a more comforting taste of espresso and milk.

Overall, it’s a good new drink from Starbucks which is always fueled by innovation for their handcrafted seasonal beverage. Compared to another seasonal beverage, we can say that the Espresso Matcha Fusion is our most favorite. But sorry to say, we still prefer to their Green Tea Latte and Asian Dolce Latte. Yet, we still expect something new from Starbucks which combining Matcha and Espresso. We know that our lovely Starbucks can do better!
