Thai food is known for their festive sour, sweet, savory, and spicy flavors which always keep us craving for more. Recently, Food In Love had visited Thai Xtreme a restaurant that offers the authentic taste of Thai cuisine.
Thai Xtreme located on 4th floor of Mall Taman Anggrek, only 20 meters from Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh. The interior of the restaurant is simple and nicely designed with Thai style decoration items. Such a casual and homey ambiance.
Tom Yum Prawn Soup (Tom Yum Kung)
Just like every fairytale must begin with “once upon a time”, every Thai meal must begin with a bowl of steaming hot soup. As the signature menu of Thai Xtreme, its was simply nice with authentic tom yum clear soup and the right amount of spiciness, tanginess, and seasoning. I felt warmed up after I had the first spoonful.
Tom Yum Hor Fun (Rad Na Tom Yum)
For tom yum lovers, you’ll enjoyed many tom yum dishes in Thai Xtreme. We also tried Tom Yum Hor Fun, a tom yum soup with rice noodle and seafood. The tangy and spicy gravy with the fresh seafood such as squid and prawns is such a perfect combination.
Shrimp Paste Seafood Rice (Khao Kluk Kapi Kung)
Looking for a heavier meal? We recommend you to try this Shrimp Paste Seafood Rice. Fragrant shrimp paste fried rice with seafood. Trust me, it so delicious and their home made sauce tastes great! Supposedly said, King Chulalongkorn wrote in his diary that this was his favorite dish.
Season Beans (Tua Phat Phrik)
This is a Thai dish that made from long beans and stir fried in red curry paste. The curry flavors is strong enough and we enjoy having all the curry flavor coated onto pieces of long beans. It’s absolutely delicious!
Glutinous Rice with Mango (Khao Niao Mamuang)
This our most favorite Thai dessert. It’s better known as Mango Sticky Rice in Thailand. Sweet glutinous rice with fresh mango and coconut milk. The mango was fresh and sweet enough, also the coconut milk is not too sweet. Aroi!
Thai Ice Tea & Sour Plum
For a sweet ending, we have Thai Ice Tea and Sour Plum. The Thai Ice Tea tastes authentic with the original Thai Tea that we’ve tried in Thailand. The Sour Plum is also refreshing with sweet and sour flavor.
Overall, we had a satisfying meal in Thai Xtreme. They offers flavorful Thai cuisine with affordable price and casual concept, and make it more enjoyable and approachable for many people. There are also many options of dishes from rice, noodle, soup, salad, crab, prawn, laksa, curry, etc.
