MAMA DE CUISINE CAFE & DINING

It’s quite hard to find a good place to hang out in East Jakarta, but thanks to Mama De Cuisine Cafe & Dining that become a new addition to the modern cafe list in Kalimalang area. It will be a great option when you’re looking for a good place to work, casual dining, or hang out in East Jakarta.

Mama De Cuisine located at the shophouses of Green Terrace Kalimalang, the same area with Transmart Kalimalang. The building consists of 2 floors with modern design and cozy atmosphere. There is the kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating on the ground floor while the second floor is designed with more homey ambiance with sofa, balcony, and spacious dining area. It’s also a perfect place for a birthday party, small gathering, or hang out with a group of friends since you can stay for hours to spend your time with friends or family while enjoying their special dishes.

As for the foods, Mama De Cuisine offers various type of Chinese, Western, and Indonesian cuisine with the concept of “Mom’s Home Cooking”, as the name indicates. The serving comes in big and generous portion, so it’s fit to share with a group of 3 or 4.

Potato Wedges

For starter, we opted Potato Wedges. The texture was soft and the potato skin was crispy. This would be better if a little bit saltier.

Beef Black John

Since it’s a signature menu at MDC, so we decided to give it a try. It comes in big and generous portion, fit for 2-3 persons. Consists of minced beef, melted cheese, egg, lettuce, and onion, it’s turned out so good!

Black Box Burger

This is another signature menu from MDC. The presentation looks so tempting with the beautiful layer of homemade patty burger, salad, cheese, sunny side up egg, and kinds of sauce. The bun was very soft while the juicy beef patty was perfectly paired with the cheese and egg.

Gurame Asam Manis

Fried Gurame fish with sweet and sour sauce. The fish was fresh, soft inside and crispy outside, while the sauce has the right balance of sweet and sour.

Fu Yung Hai

As one of the most popular Chinese dishes, MDC served their Fu Yung Hai very well. Consists of chicken, egg, kikian, shrimp, mixed vegetables, and their special sauce, it has an authentic taste of Fu Yung Hai that will be loved by everyone.

Beef Rice Bowl

If you’re looking for rice dishes, beef rice bowl will be a good choice. It’s a rice bowl served with beef black pepper and vegetable on top. The beef was juicy and well seasoned with a bold taste of black pepper.

Green Tea Smoothies Bowl

Besides the main courses, we also ordered Green Tea Smoothies Bowl. It’s made up from green tea, banana, and honey served with coconut flake, almond, chia seed, and cranberry. It’s truly refreshing and delicious with the right level of sweetness.

Drinks

Sweet treats after a festive lunch, we had Blue Ocean, Virgin Mojito, Mix Berry, Lychee Iced Tea, and Es Timun Serut. All of them were fresh, not too sweet, and perfect for our thirst quencher. Our favorite is Virgin Mojito and Lychee Iced Tea.

Overall, Mama De Cuisine Cafe & Dining offers a wide variety of Indonesian, Western, and Asian home cuisines into a modern presentation, tasty, and delicious with the generous portion and at an affordable place. The place was also pretty nice and we’re glad to find a new spot to dine and hang out like this in East Jakarta.
