If you’re following the food trends in Jakarta, you must pay much attention to currently one of the biggest trends happening and rapidly grow in the F&B business at the moment: Kopi Susu! And this time we’ll gonna share one of the strong players in Kopi Susu Kekinian in Jakarta called Kopi Kenangan.
Now the brand of Kopi Kenangan is managed by Kenangan Group, which has launched their other new brands: Bakmi Kenangan and Cabe Cabe. So it means these three brands are all owned by the same owner.
Last month, Kenangan Group just launched their brand new product as well as the opening of their outlet at Republik Makanan, located on the Lower Ground floor of Standard Chartered Building, South Jakarta. And for Kopi Kenangan, they already have a little shop before in the lobby of Standard Chartered Building.
Kopi Kenangan
The main product from Kopi Kenangan is Kopi Kenangan Mantan (IDR 18,000), which have the normal and less sugar version. Honestly, we loved their Es Kopi Susu, we found it to be creamy while not being overly milky and most importantly the character of the coffee is still pretty dominant.
It also has this fresh smooth aftertaste and we recommend you just go straight to the “Less Sugar” version of this Es Kopi Susu Kenangan Mantan as we’ve tried both and we feel like the normal one was way too sweet since they’re using palm sugar as the sweetener. Now, they also have other menus like Kopi Mantan Menikah / Latte (IDR 18,000) which available in 3 flavors: Vanilla Latte, Hazelnut Latte, and Caramel Latte. For another option, they also have 100% Arabica 8-years Aged Espresso-Based Coffee and Tea based drink such as Milk Tea, Teh Tarik, Iced Tea, etc.
Bakmi Kenangan
As an avid fan of noodle, we can say that they make this product very seriously. We tried their Bakmi Special Ayam Bakso (IDR 35,455++) is topped with generous amount of chicken, meatballs, soup, and fried dumplings. The texture of the noodle was firm and chewy, rich in flavor, and worth to try!
Cabe Cabe
Nasi Gila in the box for nasi gila lovers! Yes, their signature Tempura Ayam Gila Matah (IDR 34,546++) is actually the next level of Nasi Gila with meaty chicken tempura, egg, and sausage over rice served with Sambal Matah or Chili Oil on the side. The chicken was juicy, tender, and well seasoned. You can choose the spicy level from SMA (no spicy), Kampus, or MaCan (Mama Cantik). The generous serving portion makes it a great choice for your simple lunch. Besides chicken, it’s also available in mushroom and dory version.
Overall, we can say that Kenangan Group doing a good job with their new brand product. Kopi Kenangan which has launched to the market first keep consistent with their coffee and now more choices with the new menu. As for Bakmi Kenangan and Cabe Cabe, they bring the simply traditional Indonesian dishes to the next level and it turns out so good. Just go reach them in Republik Makanan in Standard Chartered Building for your quick office break, or alternatively, it’s also available on Go-Food.
