Congratulations for the Soft Opening of Pullman Ciawi Vimala Hills! The first 5-stars hotel in Ciawi and first Pullman resort experience has just opened for public on May 21st, 2019.

A glimpse of the hotel, Pullman Ciawi Vimala Hills is the newest resort situated at 600-meter altitude in a 10-hectare of land fully integrated from Vimala Hills Villa & Resort, a residential area popularly known as a soothing haven of lush garden. The resort is both modern stylish vacation retreat and an exceptional escape destination conveniently accessible from Bogor and Puncak, which remains as a favorite excursions in West Java area.

Talking about a 5-stars hotel, the most interesting part for me is dining and cuisine scenes. Here at Pullman Ciawi Vimala Hills, they had Damar, the resort’s all day restaurant.

Damar restaurant is an all day international dining offering a scrumptious line-up for buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A bountiful breakfast buffet greets guests every morning. Another colourful buffet is served at lunchtime, and yet another at dinnertime. Options vary from local delicacies to international favourites.

Damas’s interior was designed in a modern contemporary design. Elegant and artistic with the dominance of red and black color combined with wooden element.

The restaurant area is spacious and nicely arranged, located right next to their fabulous and beautiful resort pool. You can enjoy views of the sparkling outdoor resort pool in a light and airy atmosphere or choose to eat al fresco on the outdoor deck.

As an international buffet restaurant, Damar offers delightful menu selections, a thoughtfully curated culinary including organic menu of local delicacies to international favorites.

Indonesian Section

Here you can find selections of Indonesian cooked dishes, Indonesian chilis, and assorted snack for appetizer such as pangsit goreng (fried dumplings), pastel (puff), etc.

Asian Section

This is my most favorite section. There is a wide variety of Asian cuisine, ranging from Indian dishes, Mongolian Station, Nasi Kebuli, Dim Sum, Stir Fry Noodles from the Wok, etc. My most favorite were Mongolian station and Stir Fry Noodles. Both of them are simply delicious, flavorful, and I like the seasoning so much.

Western Section

Beef medallion, potato au gratin, pasta, lamb stew and grilled skewer (chicken & seafood), etc. are available in this section. The highlight is definitely the juicy and tender beef medallion with potato au gratin. The chicken and shrimp skewer are also good, it’s fresh and very juicy.

During my visit, there is a whole Kambing Guling served in this section. It is also nice, tender meat, good seasoning, with soy sauce chili. Yummy!

Salad & Sushi Section

They served salad and sushi in a cold display fridge. I don’t know why they put sushi together with salad in this area since usually sushi is available in Japanese or Asian section. Here you can find any kind of salad with dressings, rujak, and asinan.

Bread, Cheese, & Coffee Section

In this section there are organic bread, ciabatta, french bread, etc. with cheese platter and coffee machine that served you espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.

Desserts Section

The most appetizing section with assorted cakes, puddings, selections of fruits, etc. All of them were simply delicious and just perfect to clean up your palate.

Overall, dining at Damar restaurant is such a great experience. Scrumptious food with a wide variety of international cuisines, great atmosphere with the uber comfy place, and accompanied by magnificent outdoor view were just totally perfect! It would be hard to find a more relaxing place to dine than in their spacious dining room with resort ambiance and majestic view.
