Kopitiam, literally means coffee shop (coffee in Malay and shop in Hokkien/Hakka), is commonly found all over Singapore and Malaysia. It is a common part of Singapore, where a typical drink stall would sell coffee (kopi) and tea (teh) along with breakfast items of kaya toast and soft-boiled eggs.

I’m pretty sure you all would agree that Nasi Padang (literally translates to Padang rice, but meaning Padang food) has become the country’s most famous contribution to Indonesian cuisine. You can easily find Nasi Padang in every corner of the city and of course, I’ve tried hundreds of them. So, what’s the special from this Padang restaurant so I share it on the blog? SPICY! Indian cuisine has become our new favorite food since our #FoodInLoveSINGAPORE  trip. Well, it’s simply because Indian food is very common in Singapore, unlike in Jakarta where it’s not a common food for Indonesian. After observing and looking for the top Indian restaurant (at a reasonable price) in Singapore, we found out Sakunthala restaurant, which recommended by one of our Indian friends.

[SINGAPORE] NAM SENG NOODLE HOUSE – The Best Wanton Mee by Singapore’s Oldest Hawker Legend

Singaporean who frequented the old National Library at Stamford Road will no stranger with this wanton mee stall which clocked more than 40 of those years at the old hawker center in front of the library. Nam Seng Noodle House, the actual name of the old National Library wonton mee stall, is a noodle restaurant that has over 50 years of history.

[SINGAPORE] LADY M CONFECTIONS – Orchard Central

While at Orchard Central last weekend during our #FoodInLoveSINGAPORE trip, we visited Lady M Confections, the pioneer of the well-loved Mille Crêpe cakes originated from New York. Lady M is the brand that started the popular Mille crepe cake craze back in 2005, and Singapore is one of the countries by Lady M to expand out of New York.
