Although many new creations of martabak (Indonesian stuffed pancake) are popping up nowadays, this classic martabak still be my favorite. In this posr, i will going to share my favorite traditional martabak in Jakarta. That is Martabak Rembulan Purnama, located in Jl. KH. Moh. Mansyur (Jembatan Lima, West Jakarta), it is situated on the roadside only with a humbly cart.
Nowadays, Pantai Indah Kapuk food scene has evolved into more interesting and lively. Along with the time, lots of new restaurant or cafe have been popping up with stronger and better concept. One of the latest additions that we had visited is Headquarters.
When in Singapore, don’t forget to eat Bak Kut Teh, one of the signature dishes from Singapore. Bak Kut Teh is a traditional Chinese soup and the name itself actually means “Meat Bone Tea” and at its simplest, consists of meaty pork ribs simmered in a complex broth of herbs and spices (including star anise, cinnamon, cloves, dang gui, fennel seeds, and garlic). And yes the broth was made from pork ribs bone.
Meatballs or more commonly known as “Bakso” in Indonesian is one of the most popular traditional food in Indonesia. Usually, meatballs made of beef and can be found in mobile carts. In Tanjung Duren, there is a famous place to eat meatballs, namely Bakso Jawir.
Kelapa Gading has long been known as one of the culinary paradise in Jakarta which still live up till now. And for pork lovers like us, one of our favorite restaurant is Warung Larris. Originally from Surabaya, Warung Larris now open their first outlet in Jakarta to offers the best pork ribs in town! FYI, they already have two outlets in Surabaya.
Japanese food never bores us. We can have it everyday without getting bored, especially sushi. And this time we are going to share our dining experience at Kiyadon Sushi, a Japanese restaurant that is specialized in Sushi. Opened their first outlet in April 2001, now they have 6 outlets in Indonesia, which are in Emporium Mall Pluit, Senayan City, Pacific Place, Mall Taman Anggrek, Grand Indonesia, and Baywalk Mall. Nowadays it’s much easier to find pork dishes in a restaurant in Jakarta. A few years ago, it’s quite hard, unless in a Chinese restaurant. Originally from Kuala Lumpur and after successfully there, Buns & Meat now open their first outlet in Jakarta to offers more than just a burger, it’s amazing pork dishes. One of the best additions you can find in the restaurant flooded Pantai Indah Kapuk.
They have cozy ambiance and nice decoration with beautiful interior design. Their loose furniture, window table bar, and wall decoration are well designed. I’m sure that you will also love this place, especially at the front side which is showered by natural daylight. So many variety of Indomie (Indonesian authentic instant noodle) creations are popping up nowadays and because its really get hype, so many places sells the creation of Indomie. One of them is Shirayuki, a famous dessert cafe in Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta.
The most favoutite is Indomie Kuah Creamy Saus Telor Asin (Soup) and Indomie Goreng Saus Telor Asin (Dry). This time we tried both of them and also Indomie Goreng Black Pepper.
