One thing that makes us excited when Christmas comes is we can find many Christmas special menu from many restaurants. And this time by one of the best authentic Indonesian restaurant, Sate Khas Senayan. Like a tradition in past few years, Sate Khas Senayan always offers a special menu for every special event like Christmas, Chinese New Year, or Idul Fitri.
In this Christmas, Sate Khas Senayan has launched their Christmas Special menu. There are Chicken Galantine and Es Buah.
Chicken Galantine
Mostly, all Christmas menu is derived from the influence of Western culture, including Chicken Galantine which similar to Ayam Kodok. Chicken Galantine is a stuffed chicken dish originated from French and usually served with french fries, steam carrots, and steam green beans. But in Sate Khas Senayan, they make it more healthy which served with egg, lettuce, steamed carrots, steamed green beans, potato chips, and potato wedges instead of french fries. It also comes with the sweet and sour sauce.
The chicken galantine serves in the shape of chicken wings. The stuffed chicken is consist of minced chicken without additional filling. We really love the taste, it’s cooked in the perfection with the right level of savory and not too salty. For more comforting taste, you can douse it with the sauce, or dip the chicken into sauce.
Es Buah
Es buah is an Indonesian iced fruit cocktail dessert and it’s a popular dessert among Indonesians. This cold and sweet beverage is made of diced fruits, such as pineapple, strawberry, and kolang kaling (Arenga pinnata fruit), mixed with ice cubes and sweetened with soursop syrup base. It’s a perfect sweet ending, really refreshing and not too sweet.
Overall, we love this Christmas special menu from Sate Khas Senayan. Such a perfect combination of Chicken Galantine and Es Buah. Since this is a seasonal menu, let’s come and try it by yourself before January 9th, 2016. 😉
