PIK Avenue, a new lifestyle mall located in the heart of Pantai Indah Kapuk, North Jakarta finally held a pre-opening event on September 7th, 2016. If you often go to Pantai Indah Kapuk area, you must recognize their curve-cylindrical iconic building forms.
The iconic building along with two hotel towers mark the perfection of Pantai Indah Kapuk township. There is Pullman Hotel and Mercure Hotel that will be open on 2017.
The best part of the mall design is their main atrium. The main atrium is oval shaped like an eye as high as 4 floors with a glass roof. So it will be illuminated by sunlight during the day.
The main atrium at ground floor will be the venue for an event, exhibitions, or bazaar.
For fashion, two big tenants would be in this mall, there are Uniqlo and H&M. You’ll also find some other well-known fashion & accessories brands, such as Charles & Keith, Hush Puppies, Pedro, Crocs, Levi’s, Polo, Watch Studio, etc. Another more specialty stores also will be opening soon, such as The Foodhall, ACE Hardware, MUJI Store, Periplus Book Store, and Flix Cinema.
As a foodie, the things that we concerned about PIK Avenue is their Food & Beverages Tenant and we can say that their F&B tenants were quite a bit. Maybe it’s because a lot of cafes and restaurants are flooded in PIK area. List of F&B tenants that’s now opening (as this post is written): Putien, Fire Pot, Kkuldak, & Tous Les Jours. And tenants which will open soon is Chung Gi Wa, Donburi Ichiya, Gyu-Kaku, Holysmokes and The Holycrab, KOI Teppanyaki, Kyochon, Maystar, Paul Bakery, Pepper Lunch, Saigon Cafe, Union, Zenbu, etc. Looks like that they will have Dotonburi Foodtown as their food court.
During their Pre-Opening Event on September - December 2016, they held a Culinary Festival at Indoor (2nd floor) and Outdoor (in front of the lobby). You’ll large variety and many kinds of food, snack, and desserts such as Sate Padang, Nasi Campur, Siomay, Otak-otak, Burger, Bakmi, Thai Tea, Ice Cream, Cheesecake, etc.
Since they’re still on their pre-opening days, construction is still happening and little details are being touched up, it looks like they’re 50 more percent from being finished and all tenants open. We’re looking forward to what they have in store after everything else is ready and open.
