Island Creamery is launching a brand new café concept with the opening of COFFEE + KITCHEN in its flagship Alam Sutera (Flavor Bliss) outlet. The new concept is an exciting evolution of Island Creamery’s classic and modern dessert favorites with new and bold Asian-inspired rice and noodle bowls.
Coffee + Kitchen located right in front of the Island Creamery Flavor Bliss, Alam Sutera. The place is not too spacious, but it’s pretty nice. With many windows on each side, it looks like a glass house and very bright during the day with natural ventilation. The ambiance is very cozy and homey with the use of wooden furniture, sofa, and coffee table. It can also be used for small gathering, reunion, birthday party, or just for a hangout and have a chit chat with friends.
Coffee + Kitchen serves a variety of menus from appetizer, main course, and desserts. Also many beverages such as coffee, tea, milkshake, etc.
Fried Mozzarella Sticks
Although it looks like the chicken nugget, it’s a fried mozzarella sticks with tomato marinara sauce. It’s better to eat while fresh, soft inside, and crunchy outside. It’s tastes good with the balanced salty and savory.
Tex-Mex Potato Wedges
It’s a potato wedges topped with melted mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, and smoked beef. The potato wedges have a soft texture inside wrapped with crisp and crunchy skin. The presentation was also very nice, it’s served on a personal black pan. Good and tasty!
Bakmi Ayam Rica-Rica
It is egg noodle with minced chicken in spicy rica-rica sauce, sauteed vegetable, spring onions, and comes with a bowl of meatball (2 pcs). You can choose the spicy level from mild, spicy, and insanely spicy. It tastes normal and we don’t really like the noodle texture since its too short and brittle.
Korean Fried Chicken Rice Bowl
For Korean food lovers, this Korean fried chicken rice bowl will be a good choice. It consists of fried chicken kaarage, Korean chili mayo sauce, sauteed vegetable, Asian pickles, and sunny side egg. It tastes good especially for their Korean fried chicken, its spicy, savory, yet crispy, and tender.
Pink Lychee Iced Tea
We ordered Pink Lychee Ice Tea for drinks. The iced lychee flavored tea was refreshing and not too sweet.
Super Sunday Party Popper
What a good looking at instagenic milkshake by Island Creamery. Yes, it’s a new menu from Island Creamery. The strawberry milkshake topped with whip cream, red velvet cake, kiwi, peach, and chocolate cone. There is also chocolate sauce and cereal that decorate the glass. It’s very good for the photo but unfortunately, it tastes too sweet and even we can’t finish it. FYI, it’s a seasonal menu and available until January 2017.
Dark Chocolate Cookie Lava
The giant cookie lava served in a sizzling pan with separated one scoop of Island Creamery’s freshly made ice cream. It’s very attractive when the ice cream is placed on the cookie lava, the dark chocolate sauce is melting and overflow out immediately. There is a generous amount of dark chocolate sauce, but again, it’s too sweet for us.. 🙁
Overall, Coffee + Kitchen offers a wide variety of food, beverage, and dessert. We really love the place, it’s such cozy and homey place with a nice ambiance. We think that they still need an improvement for some menu, and we believe that they can do better in the future. Last but not least, congratulations for the grand opening of Coffee + Kitchen!
